Mail status – missing mail info

Dear customer

I apologize for our mail server issues yesterday and today.

Yesterday as many of you know we had catastrophic drive failures in our mail server.
Don’t worry, everything is redundant and backed up and nothing should be lost.
Overnight we worked to repair the issue but the server failed again this morning.
After this second failure we decided to move to the alternate server.
When you logged into your mail this morning, you may have noticed historic data missing.
Don’t be concerned, all of your old mail will appear as well as all folders and file structure as the day progresses.

Mail that was held from this morning is being delivered at this time and should be finished before 11AM.
Mail sent and received right now, should have no issues and no more then a 1 min delay.

Historic mail will take some time as we have over 10,000 boxes, many of them very large and
we do not wish to overload the new server from delivering new mail while restoring the old.
We expect this to take about 7 hours but it may take longer.
Some people will see there mail immediately, others near the end of the process.
We cannot pick and choose who is restored first so we thank you for your patience.

I apologize again for the inconvenience and assure you we are doing all we can to quicken the resolution.

Thank You.
